The memorable first Test between England and Pakistan at the Lord’s London also registered the historic numbers of crowd attendance. The Test was expected to create a lot of attention among the English crowds and it did exactly the same. The Lord’s Cricket Ground released official figures of the number of people who attended the first Test between England and Pakistan. It stated that 113,000 spectators were recorded in the 1st Test.
The crowds at the Lord’s were treated with some quality cricket as Misbah-ul-Haq scored a fantastic hundred to lead Pakistan to a solid first inning total. For England, it was all-rounder Chris Woakes who shone with the ball in both the innings, recording five-wicket hauls in both of Pakistan’s innings. He concluded the game with figures of 11/102. Yasir Shah was absolutely brilliant in his team running away with the game. He concluded the game with figures 10/141. Yasir Shah was also adjudged Man of The Match for his outstanding bowling effort.
