First T-20: India Beat Windies By 5 Wickets, 5th Consecutive Win In Rohit’s Captaincy

Sports Desk: India defeated the West Indies by five wickets in the first match of the three T-20 series. Along with this victory, Team India won the fifth T-20 match in the captaincy of #Rohit Sharma. Last time Sri Lanka defeated India in March this year. After that, the Indian team beat Bangladesh in three matches and Sri Lanka in one match.
In the Eden Gardens of Kolkata, India decided to bowl after winning the toss. West Indies made 109 runs in 20 overs for eight wickets. Fabian Allen scored 27 runs. This is his Debut T20. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets The Indian team achieved the target in five wickets in 17.5 overs. Dinesh Karthik 31 and Kunal Pandya 21 not out.
Indian openers out in three overs: The Indian team, who started chasing the target, was a poor start. Opener Rohit Sharma scored six runs and was bowled out on the last ball of the first over. He was caught by Oshana Thomas at the hands of wicketkeeper Ramdin. Thomas bowled Shikhar Dhawan on the fifth ball of the third over. Dhawan could make three runs in eight balls.

West Indies lost three wickets in powerplay: Umesh Yadav started bowling from India. He gave eight runs in his first over. On the third ball of the innings and the first ball of his second over, Umesh dismissed Ramdin. Ramdin scored two runs and caught by Karthik. In the fourth over, Rahul runs out Shai Hope (14 runs). After them, Bumrah sent Shamron Hetmyer (10) to the pavilion. The West Indies first scored 31 runs for three wickets.
Krunal took the first international wicket in the form of Pollard: On the second ball of the tenth over, Krunal Pandya sent Kieron Pollard to the pavilion. This was his first international wicket. Pollard made 14 runs and caught by Manish. Krunal and Pollard play together in Mumbai Indians in IPL. At the same time, Darren Bravo (5) was caught by Dhawan. Kuldeep dismissed Rovman Powell (4) and captain Carlos Brathwaite (4).
India’s first T20 at home ground without Dhoni: The Indian team has so far played 34 T20 matches on home grounds. This was the first time when former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was not in the playing eleven. Karthik took over the responsibility of wicketkeeping in his place. Along with Dhoni, regular captain Virat Kohli is also not in the team.
