21 candidates have been shortlisted for the post of India’s Head Coach
The Board of Control for Cricket in India had shortlisted 21 candidates for the post of Head coach of the Indian Cricket team. There were as many as 57 applications were received for this high profile post but following an initial scrutiny of 57 applications only 21 candidates have met the primary criteria specified by the BCCI.
Now the advisory committee of BCCI consisting of three Indian legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman and chief coordinator Sanjay Jagdale will review each candidate. The committee, under the leadership of Jagdale will scrutinise the remaining 21 applications, conduct interviews and seek presentations from candidates. In fact, if they desire, the advisory committee may well look into all the 57 applications.
After the completion of all the process, the committee will submit a report, likely by June 22, recommending its choice of coach to the BCCI president Anurag Thakur through honoury BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke.
