ANIL KUMBLE HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS HEAD COACH OF INDIAN CRICKET TEAM

The wait is over and BCCI has finally appointed the legendary leg spinner of India ANIL KUMBLE as the head coach of Indian Cricket Team. After a lot of debates and discussions, Anil Kumble has finally been selected as the head coach of Indian Cricket Team amongst many high profile names including foreign cricketers. As per the BCCI press release, 57 candidates had applied for the post of head coach which was trimmed down to 21 and finally all the speculations has been put down to rest as Anil Kumble is appointed as the head coach. Kumble will start his new journey as a coach from the upcoming West Indies Tour where India will play 4 Tests against West Indies under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
The BCCI’s advisory committee formed by the cosmic trio of Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Sourav Ganguly were given the responsibility of choosing the right candidate and the trio has wisely chosen Anil Kumble as the head coach of Indian Cricket Team. Currently Anil Kumble is also the chairperson of International Cricket Council’s Cricket Committee. Anil Kumble, who had known for being an absolute gentleman has always been a respected figure for the whole cricket fraternity all around the world. After his application was made public, Anil Kumble was the main contender for the post.
The legendary leg spinner Anil Kumble has played 132 Tests and 271 One Day Internationals in which he took 619 and 337 wickets respectively. Before this, Kumble has worked for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians as a mentor. In his tenure, Mumbai Indians became the IPL champion two times. Anil Kumble is the best option for Indian Cricket Team undoubtedly and his experience and self belief will help Indian Cricket Team in the overseas conditions.
