The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday evening appointed Anil Kumble as the head coach of Indian cricket team for a year. Since the Cricket World Cup 2015 semi-final against Australia, Indians were playing without any services of the head coach, although Ravi Shastri was there as a team director to help and guide the team in the absence of any head coach. The legendary leg spinner will begin his coaching stint with the 4 match Test series against the West Indies in West Indies, starting from July 21.
