Indian boxer Vijender Singh defeated Australia’s Kerry Hope on Saturday to become the new WBO Asia/Pacific Middleweight champion. It was a terrific effort by India’s star boxer who registered his seventh win in as many encounters. There were a few current and former Indian cricket players who were present at the venue to support Vijender Singh. Those names included Suresh Raina, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh. They were continuously cheering for Vijender while the fight was going on and when the star boxer won the contest, they made sure to congratulate him on the micro-blogging site too.
