After becoming the second oldest cricketer to hit a ton at Lord’s, Misbah-ul-Haq has joined another list of cricketers when he scored a duck in the second innings. Misbah swept the second ball in the second innings to Alex Hales at deep mid-wicket off Moeen Ali for a duck. He is the fourth player to score a ton and a hundred in his first Test at Lord’s. The other three players are :

Dilip Vengsarkar: In the Lord’s Test between India and England in 1979, Dilip Vengsarkar fell for duck coming in at No 3. In the second innings, he played a tenacious innings of 103 off 295 balls with 13 fours, which helped India to draw the Test against England.

Sid Barnes: The Australian opener was dismissed for a duck in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s in 1948, but he came back strongly to score a fantastic 141 in the second innings with the help of 14 fours and 2 sixes. Barnes was the highest scorer in the second innings as Australia won the match by 409 runs. He became the first player to score a ton and duck in his first Test at Lord’s.

Charlie Davis: West Indian cricketer Charlie Davis scored 103 off 301 balls with 6 fours at Lord’s in 1969 in the first innings against England.  He scored a duck in the second innings to become the second player in this exclusive list.
