Kings XI  Punjab V/S Barbados Tridents

Match 5, Group B, Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali

After a decent win against the Hobart Hurricanes, George Bailey & Co would love to make it two in a row when they take on The Barbados Tridents in a crucial Group B encounter at the PCA Stadium, Mohali.

Pitch and Conditions

The PCA Stadium pitch is expected to have pace and bounce as it generally does. There could be some turn for the spinners too. All in all a good cricket wicket where the batsmen can trust the bounce and play through the line.

Barbados Tridents

The Champions of the Caribbean  Premier League boast of a fine pace attack comprising of the experienced Ravi Rampaul, Jason Holder and Ryad Emrit. The Tridents would be hoping to make best use of the conditions against the KXIP top order which did not have a good day against the Hurricanes .The batting would revolve around the South African Neil Mckenzie and Kiwi all rounder James Franklin. Elton Chigumbara and Jeevan Mendis would play the roles of the all rounders.

Kings XI Punjab

The runners up of the IPL rely heavily on their strokemakers who have lit up the IPL with some breathtaking batting. Sehwag, Vohra, Miller, Maxwell, Bailey and Perera  are all capable of winning matches on their own with the bat. To add to that KXIP are a superb fielding unit and have a decent bowling attack with Awana, Perera  and the promising Akshar Patel in good form.

To sum it up we are in for a cracking Saturday evening at Mohali.
