Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday welcomed the new head coach of Team India, saying he was looking forward to work with the legendary Anil Kumble.
Kumble’s appointment put all the speculations and suspense to the rest on who will take over the reins of the side. The former leg-spinner pipped former Team Director Ravi Shastri, current Chairman of Selector Sandeep Patil, Australians Tom Moody and Stuart Law and many others to clinch the high-profile position following an elaborate selection process headed by a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman.
The ace batsman took to twitter and congratulated Anil Kumble shortly after Kumble was appointed as head coach for a year. He wrote, “Heartiest welcome to @anilkumble1074 Sir. Look forward to your tenure with us. Great things in store for Indian Cricket with you.”
