His all-time favorite batsman Brian Lara is at the 3rd spot, and the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, who had led them to the World Cup title wins is at no.4.<\/p>\n<p>He found it hard to choose between de Silva and Mahela Jayawardene for the no.5 spot and he went for de Silva by saying that both Mahela and him consider de Silve as Sri Lanka&#8217;s greatest ever batsman. Jacques Kallis of South Africa is probably one of the finest all-rounders and he is at no.6. Adam Gilchrist has taken the gloves for his side.<\/p>\n<p>At 8 and 9, he has selected two of the finest spinners the cricketing world \u2013 Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan.
