By Vikas Das

After the IPL saga, it’s business time for Team India that will face the Bangladeshi challenge in a series involving one test match and three one dayers at Fatullah and Sher-e-Bangla stadium, Dhaka, respectively. Playing in their backyard, Bangladesh would like to avenge defeat suffered at the hands of India during the quarter final encounter of the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. While on the other hand, Virat Kohli-led India is expected to go hard at the hosts. Both sides are full of explosive batsmen. If India has been blessed with Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan, then Bangladesh features the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan. All in readiness for a cracking series in store for the spectators as both sides seem determined to express themselves on the field.

High voltage clash awaits

The one-off test match at Fatullah, starting on June 10 is expected to be a high-voltage one with Bangladesh, after winning the ODI series against Pakistan at home and beating England to storm into the quarter final of the World Cup, is high on confidence and would give India a run for their money in the series.  Adding to that, playing against India is always exciting for every team as it draws lot of attention across the globe. Bangladesh would like to use this as an opportunity to establish themselves as a better outfit by beating India and silence their detractors.

While a new wave of aggression is likely to disseminate in Team India with Virat Kohli, known for in-your-face approach, leading the side. Moreover, the inclusion of Harbhajhan Singh, who is making a comeback to the test fold after two years, is expected to bolster the spin bowling option at the face of Ravindra Jadeja losing the bite. Coupled with the return of Ishant Sharma, India’s bowling attack looks balanced to take 20 wickets, a criterion for winning the test match. However, India will miss the services of Mohammad Shami, who is ruled out of the series due to injury. He along with Umesh Yadav had been a revelation for India in the 2015 World Cup.
