50th match of VIVO IPL 2016 is over and we still don’t know who are the top four teams. Here are the conditions to qualify for the Play-off for the teams.
Kolkata Knight Riders :-
Points :- 14
NRR :- +0.28
Remaining Matches :-
vs Gujarat Lions,Kanpur
vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata
If KKR win both the matches, they will qualify for playoffs and will be among top teams.
If they will lose both their matches, then play off spot for them will depend on their Net Run Rate.
If they win one of their remaining matches, still they will qualify for the playoffs but they can lose their chance to become one of the top-2 teams (on the basis of net run rate).
Sunrisers Hyderabad :-
Points :- 16
NRR :- +0.40
Remaining Matches :-
vs Delhi Daredevils, Raipur
vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Kolkata
If they win one of their remaining matches, they can qualify for play-offs and can get one of the position top two teams.
If they lose both their remaining matches, they can still qualify for play-offs but position in top four teams will depend on their net run rate.
They only can be eliminated from the top four teams if they will lose both their remaining matches with huge margin and then their net run rate will get affected big time.
Gujarat Lions :-
Points :- 14
NRR :- -0.74
Remaining Matches :-
vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Kanpur
vs Mumbai Indians, Kanpur
If they win both their remaining matches, they will qualify for play-offs with a position of one of the top two teams
If they lose both their remaining matches, they will get eliminated from the race of play-offs if either RCB or DD win both their matches.
If they win one of their remaining matches and win against KKR then they will qualify for playoffs, but win against Mumbai Indians will depend on their net run rate to book an spot in playoffs because their might be a tie with other teams at 16 points.
Mumbai Indians :-
Points :- 14
NRR :- -0.08
Remaining Matches :-
vs Gujarat Lions, Kanpur
If they win against GL, still their spot in play-offs will depend on their net run rate, because their might be tie with other teams at 16 points.
If they lose they will be eliminated, at best they can find a position in at number 4 when all the things will go in their way which is next to impossible.
Delhi Daredevils :-
Points :- 12
NRR :- -0.12
Remaining Matches :-
vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Raipur
vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Raipur
If they win both their remaining matches, still their play-off spot will depend on their net run rate as there might be a tie with other teams at 16 points.
If they lose one of their remaining matches, in that case also their play-off spot will depend on their net run rate as there might be a tie with 16 points.
If they lose both their remaining matches, they will get eliminated.
Royal Challengers Bangalore :-
Points :- 14
NRR :- +0.92
Remaining Matches :-
vs Delhi Daredevils, Raipur
If they win their last match against DD, they will qualify for the play-offs.
If they lose their last match against DD, they can still qualify for the play-offs due to their excellent net run rate but for this at least two teams among Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Lions and Delhi Daredevils should not have more than 14 points.
