SRH FINAL

Warner the man who has led from the front and Sunrisers Hyderabad have made it to the final for the first time in the history of IPL.
CricBol analyses their overall journey to the Grand Finale in the VIVO IPL2016
(1) RCBvSRH :-
Sunrisers haven’t got the kind of start what they might have thought of, lost their 2 straight starting games, lost the 1st game with RCB, after Gayle’s early departure the spirited pair of Kohli-de Villiers put on 157 runs partnership and the late surge of Sarfaraz 35*(10) RCB put on a huge total of 227/4. Warner started his sublime journey from that match as he was the lone warrior scored 58 runs and SRH managed to reach 182/6 & lost the game by 45 runs.
(2) SRHvKKR :-
Being a host of the 2nd game SRH couldn’t manage to beat KKR, after winning the toss Warner decided to bat first. SRH managed 142/7 in 20 overs, the pair of Yadav-Morkel rocked SRH with early wickets, lost their 4 wickets in mere 50 runs. Morgan 51 and Ojha’s 37 runs and the stand of 67 runs between them put SRH to a competitive total of 142. KKR Opening pair of Gautam-Uthappa started very well and given the team a thumping 8 wickets victory.
(3) SRHvMI :-
After making the pair of defeats, Warner and company won 3 back to back games, They beat the defending champion MI by 7 wickets. Bowlers stepped up big time as the trio of Nehra, Bhuvi and the big Fizz, restricted Mumbai Indians to 142/6, Skipper Warner led from the front and scored an unbeaten 90 to give his team a maiden victory of the season. Warner was adjudged Man of The match.
(4) GLvSRH :-
Again the commendable bowling effort from SRH bowlers restricted the inform GL to a mere total of 135/8, Bhuvneshwar’s (4-0-29-4) was the highlight of the attack, Warner continued his dominating batting form after his unbeaten 90 against MI, again he posted an unbeaten 74, he also helped the struggling opener Dhawan to regain his sluggish batting form. Dhawan also scored 53 not out as the Sunrisers hammered the Gujarat Lions by 10 wickets.
(5) SRHvKXIP :-
After winning the 3rd consecutive toss, Warner asked the struggling KXIP skipper Miller to bat first, Again the bowling effort from the SRH bowlers were excellent, The Bengladeshi sensation Mustafizur bowled a miser spell of 4-1-9-2, with his unpredictable off cutters and slower deliveries SRH restricted KXIP to a below par total of 143/6, Later the in form Warner and Dhawan put on 90 runs opening stand, scored 59, 45 respectively to give SRH an easy 5 wickets victory.
(6) SRHvRPS :-
With the unstoppable efforts from SRH they started the game against the struggling RPS as favorites, but in a rain curtailed match SRH posted 118/8, rare failure from Warner as he got out without troubling the scorer, at one point in time SRH were 32/5 courtesy a brilliant spell of Ashok Dinda (4-1-23-3), very well supported by Australian all rounder Mitch Marsh and Ravi Ashwin 4-2-14-2, 4-0-14-1 respectively. RPS won the match by 34 runs with D/L method coming into play.
(7) SRHvRCB :-
Jolted by the humiliating loss from RPS, SRH won their 4 consecutive matches, after losing earlier clash with RCB, Shikhar departed early Williamson joined him at 3. Warner hold the fort and scored 5th fifty of the season just missed the well deserved century when the Protea Chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi got his prize scalp. SRH posted a healthy total of 194, and took Kohli out of the equation early Rahul and de Villiers tried hard but could only manage to reach 179/6. SRH won by 15 runs.
(8) SRHvGL :-
In their second meeting in this season of IPL, SRH again probed to be too mighty for the Lions of Gujarat. Outstanding bowling performance from the quartet (Mustafiz, bhuvi, Nehra and Sran) restricted the Lions to a modest total of 126. Chasing a small target of 127, WARNER started in a blazing fashion as he led the charge with a quick fire 24 off 17 balls, meanwhile on the other hand DHAWAN played the role of sheet anchor (47 off 40 balls) and see the Sunrisers home with 6 balls to spare.
(9) MIvSRH :-
This was the most emphatic win for the Sunrisers in this season in terms of impact in performance, everything clicked as per their plan, after being put to bat by the MI skipper Rohit sharma, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan started the inning in a swashbuckling fashion and put on 85 runs for the first wicket, SRH set the target of 178 runs for the Mumbai Indians, to which the MI batters surrendered in front of the left arm trio of FIZZ, NEHRA and SRAN and got bowled out on a mere 92 and Sunrisers won by a huge margin of 85 runs.
(10) RPSvSRH :-
Sunrisers skipper David warner won the toss and opted to bat first but this time they were found out in front of ZAMPA’s leg spin heroics as ZAMPA bowled one of the best spell in the history of IPL [4-0-19-6], but ZAMPA’s party was ruined by the brilliance of Sunrisers overall bowling performance, Nehra picked 3 wickets for 29 runs and were equally supported by Bhuvi, Sran and Fizz. Sunrisers just managed to win this one by 4 runs.
(10) SRHvDD :-
After being put to bat first by the DD skipper JP DUMINY, SRH openers started well as the duo of DAVID-DHAWAN put on 67 runs for the first wicket, but after the dismissal of WARNER, Sunrisers lost their way somewhere and got bowled out for 146 runs. Daredevils batsmen chased down the target in 18.1 overs without much of a problem and won by 7 wickets.
(11) KXIPVSRH :-
Kings XI punjab’s skipper Murali Vijay won the toss and elected to bat first in a hot & humid condition of PCA stadium Mohali. Thanks to Hashim Amla’s scintillating knock of 96 off 56 balls, KXIP set the target of 180 runs for the SRH but the combined effort of WARNER-YUVI-HOODA made the mockery of this stuff total. Sunrisers won the match by 7 wickets and secured their place in the place-offs.
(12) DDvSRH :-
It was a do or die match for the Daredevils. Skipper Zaheer Khan won the toss and put Warner and Co. to bat first. WARNER batted brilliantly
as he made 73 off 56 balls but didn’t get much support from the other batters and Sunrisers managed 158 runs in their 20 overs. Daredevils chased down the total in the final delivery of the match thanks to an outstanding 83 off 59 balls from KARUN NAIR. DD won the match by 6 wickets.
(13) KKRvSRH :-
Though SRH made it to the playoffs but two games would have made them the table topper, after losing to DD they lost to KKR again by 22 runs. After winning the toss Warner asked KKR to bat and they posted a very challenging total of 171/6, courtesy the heroics of Manish Panday and Yusuf Pathan. SRH did start the chase quite well but later in the innings Narine and Kuldeep jolted them with the bowling figures of  4-0-26-3 and 4-0-28-2 respectively.
(14) SRHvKKR :-
The time has came where there were no second chance to falter, In the Eliminator KKR won the toss and asked SRH to bat first after the collective effort of the batters SRH put on a decent total of 162/8 on a tricky Kotla track, with the best bowling attack of the season SRH restricted KKR  to 140/8 in 20 overs, Bhuvi and Moises bowled a brilliant spell of 4-0-19-3 & 3-0-17-2 respectively. Moises Henriques adjudged Man of  the match for his all-round performance.
(15) GLvSRH :-
SRH playing their 2nd eliminator of the tournament this time against the Gujarat Lions. After defeating GL on both their league games their confidence were quite high against GL.  Big setback for SRH before the match as they lost the services of FIZZ due to a minor injury in a very crucial match. After winning the toss they asked GL to bat first, Spearhead of BlackCaps bowling attack Trent Boult got the chance to play his first match as Mustafiz was injured, and on the go he proved his worth by taking the wicket of in form GL skipper Raina and brilliant run out of Dinesh Karthik, the tumbling GL posted the similar kind of total what SRH scored against KKR. Again the in form Aussie opener and SRH skipper David Warner lead the ship and didn’t stop until he reached the destination, scored an unbeaten 93. though SRH were very shaky with other batters as they lost  wickets on regular interval but Bipul Sharma somehow hold the bat for a while and hit some lusty blows, finally SRH have made it the IPL finals for the first time in IPL history after beating GL by 4 wickets.
