Former England Captain Graham Gooch complimented Indian Captain Virat Kohli. He described Kohli as the greatest threat to the England team. Gooch said that Kohli is currently one of the world’s top batsmen. He wants to improve his bad record in England, so can cause problems for the host country. Kohli scored only 134 runs in five Tests against England in 2014. During this time his highest score was 39.
Gooch said, “All the players want to play well in the whole world. Scored in different conditions.” On the batting of Kohli and England’s captain Joe Root, he said, “I think both are world class players in all formats of cricket. Difficult to compare different players. I think they are the winners of the match. I like to see Kohli and Root batting. They play shots around the wicket.”
