Asia Cup: India Beat Bangladesh By Three Wickets, Become Champions For The Seventh Time.

Dubai: India won the #Asia Cup for the seventh time on Friday. India has won this title for the second consecutive time. Team India beat Bangladesh by three wickets in the final. On behalf of India, Rohit Sharma scored the highest score of 48 runs. Ravindra Jadeja (23) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (21) also played a vital inning. #Kedar Jadhav returned to the crease again despite the Hamstring problem. He scored 23 runs and Kuldeep Yadav scored five runs were unbeaten. #Man of the Match award won Bangladesh’s #Liton Das and Man of the Tournament award to Shikhar Dhawan of India.
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bowl. Bangladesh’s start was good. The team’s first wicket fell to 120 runs but Bangladesh failed to get big scores. The team was all out for 222 runs in 48.3 overs. After chasing the target, the Indian team made 223 runs in 50 overs to win the match.
The first century of Liton’s career: Liton Das and #Mehdi Hassan added 120 runs for the first wicket and gave the team a strong start. Earlier, Bangladesh’s opening pair in the tournament was unable to make more than 16 runs. Kedar Jadhav dismissed Mehdi on his 32 personal scores and broke the partnership. Liton scored the first century of his career. He was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav on a personal score of 121.
Dhoni-Karthik’s half-century partnership: After Rohit was out on the score of 83 runs, former captain #Mahendra Singh Dhoni came to the ground. He shared a 54 run partnership with #Dinesh Karthik for the fourth wicket. Karthik was out on Mahmudullah’s ball by LBW for 37 runs. Dhoni became the victim of Mustafizur on 36 runs.
Jadhav returned to the dressing room due to Hamstring: After the 38th over, India got another blow, when Kedar Jadhav had to leave on the field due to the problem of the hamstring. In the ODI, the batsman gets no runner. Bhuvneshwar Kumar came to play in his place.
There were 800 victims behind Dhoni’s wicket: Dhoni completed 800 victims behind the wicket. To achieve this, he is the first wicketkeeper in India and third in the World. Dhoni who retired from Test cricket has 256 catches and 38 stumpings in 90 Test matches, 306 catches and 113 stumpings in 327 ODIs and 54 catches and 33 stumpings in 93 T20s. In International Cricket, Mark Boucher of South Africa completed 998 victims behind the wicket and Adam Gilchrist of Australia completed 905 victims behind the wicket.
Biggest opening partnership against India: Bangladeshi opener made a century partnership after two years. At the same time, this is the second and biggest century partnership against India. In 2015, Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar scored 102 runs.
Mehdi started batting and bowling: Mehdi Hassan became the fifth player to start with the ball and bat in any one of the Asia Cup matches. Before that, Sri Lanka’s Sri Ravi Ratnayake, India’s Manoj Prabhakar, UAE’s Asim Saeed, and Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez have made this record in their names.
