Kings XI Punjab playing their opening game at there new venue Maharashtra #cricket Association Stadium, Pune. The MCA stadium was home to the Pune Warriors, a team that no longer plays in the Indian Premier League. It hosted the first match in April 2012 when Pune Warriors played against Kings XI Punjab. Rajasthan Royal on paper not so much impact players Like Kings XI Punjab. But they have very good local talent. Shane Watson Leading Rajasthan Royal and Kings XI Punjab leading by Australia Team Skeeper George Bailey. Last season, Murali Vijay’s signing adds meat to the top-order. The Test-match regular will look to put in some solid performances and get back in the reckoning for a spot in the limited overs national side as well. Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha, who shared an excellent partnership, in the IPL final in 2014 complete the formidable batting line up. KXIP has strong batting line up in this format of game with Virender Sehwag, Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, they have three proven match-winners.
The Mitchell Johnson-led bowling attack creates a fine balance for the team Kings XI Punjab dramatically missed out on a play-off spot by losing to the Mumbai Indians in the last league match. This time though they will be looking to make it to the last 4 stage, and they have made some minor addition to the squad. While Ajinkya Rahane’s stocks as an international cricketer has grown by leaps and bounds since the last tournament, the team’s performances will largely depend on how the troika of Shane Watson, Steve Smith and James Faulkner fare. Much hinges on where skipper Watson chooses to bat. Will the presence of an in-form Steve Smith in the middle-order force Watson to take his place at the top of the order? RR will also hope that promising keeper-batsman Sanju Samson, who had a breakthrough season in 2013 before fading away slightly last year, has a solid season.
RR Probable XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Karun Nair, Shane Watson(c), Steve Smith, Sanju Samson(wk), James Faulkner, Stuart Binny, Abhishek Nayar/Rajat Bhatia, Dhawal Kulkarni, Tim Southee, Pravin Tambe
KXIP Probable XI: Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Manan Vohra, Glenn Maxwell, George Bailey (c), David Miller, Wriddhiman Saha(wk), Mitchell Johnson, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Sandeep Sharma/Parvinder Awana

Does Domestic #t20 leagues help players for playing International #cricket
Indian Premiere League or #ipl started in 2008. After the First T20 ICC World Cup was won by Team India in 2007, the T20 format became very popular in India and across the world. Therefore IPL was started with a new concept in 2008 in India.
Twenty20 cricket is claimed to have resulted in a more athletic and explosive form of cricket. Indian fitness coach Ramji Srinivasan declared in an interview with the Indian fitness website Takath.com, that Twenty20 had “raised the bar” in terms of fitness levels for all players, demanding higher levels of strength, speed, agility and reaction time from all players regardless of role in the team.
IPL is a good exposer of local crickets to show themself. They can draw a lot of confidence after working with some of the top players of the world. The real impact, though, started to show up when teams became increasingly confident of chasing down any total. T20 has brought in a sense of fearlessness in the minds of batsmen.
In last year’s RCB team jersey launch event, ViratKohli said “The more we enjoy cricket, it will be that much better in IPL. In IPL there is a lot of enjoyment of players. Everybody is relaxed coming from international schedule. There is a good atmosphere and we will try to utilize it. The T20 event actually helps players relax and enjoy themselves.”
IPL provides tremendous amount of exposure and money to the players who get selected. In terms of performance and fame, two really good finds in IPL have been Mohit Sharma and Sanju Samson. In a large cricket-crazy country like India, many a talent can go to waste if they are not given a proper chance. It also gives these youngsters a chance to share a dressing room and pick the brains of the biggest stars of the game.
In an interview, the Bangladesh player Shakib Al Hasan admitted that playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League has helped him grow as a cricketer and it will enable him to plan against the likes of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, ViratKohli, ShikharDhawan and Suresh Raina. He said, “Obviously, having played in the IPL will help me plan well against these players. Also I can pass on information to my team mates which will be beneficial. Actually, all the top six of Indian line-up are world class players and potential game-changers. We have to ensure that they can’t build big partnerships and also more important ones among the six get out early”.
The IPL experience is invaluable for the talented youngsters, craving for a chance. Each minute under the lights, in front of a thousands of strong crowd is akin to a whole Ranji match in terms of giving the player a feel of how it is to play in international match.
