Life After Retirement of “Sachin Tendulkar”

in post Era of Sachin Tendulkar

BY Manish Waghela

Some people left watching cricket after Sachin’s retirement because they think “SACHIN IS GOD” without him the charm of the game just fizzled. One should always remember “CRICKET MADE SACHIN,and not vice versa” Somehow don’t feel happy when somebody puts person above game.

51 hundreds in test and 49 hundreds in ODI is not which made Sachin in the eyes of everyone around globe but It’s Sachin, a true booster to Indian Cricket Team, which is and will be missed forever.Every cricketer who played with him came out and spoke about how grateful it was to play with/against sachin, and not about his figures which wasnt that aspect for greatness.

Every individual has his own style, his own way of presenting himself on and off the field- SACHIN TENDULKAR

He knew that helping others to cope up in their game was great thing to do.so he helped Yuvraj Singh in his tough times and became inspiration to him and harbhajan singh. Every youngster was so inspired by sachin that sachin himself took the charge and taught technical moves to them.

After sachin “INDIA HAS QUALITY BUT LACK OF EXPERIENCE” thats what today’s generation says.

Yes,MSDhoni knew that its difficult to fill the no.4 slot in Indian team, but with the help of selectors and past records of players proved themselves to fit in that place and can handle responsibilities.

The top order of SHIKHAR DHAWAN,ROHIT SHARMA,VIRAT KOHLI  and AJINKYA RAHANE have scored enormous scores in all formats which gives a limelight of positive results in current and near future.

MSDhoni who made strategies with Tendulkar, or having a word with Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman in the slips has now moved on to the same process with the others.

Over a period of time as the team built, player like Kohli steped in to handle the role after MSD role in test career.Because, we often forget that Dhoni himself won’t be around for too long and a leadership has to change with different skills to head in ODI.

The CAPTAIN COOL MSDhoni  in his usual calm and composed mindset said after sachins retirement “With the last Test match we played in India, it is 100 per cent sure that Sachin won’t be available for any more international series. It was always good to have him, but now that he won’t be there, we have to concentrate on what he have in our hands. We have accepted that fact and moved on.”

Sachin was the spine of Indian crickets team from past 1-2 decades. But that era was also formation of new talent/new formats/new rules/new technology/and new way of leading team. With growing form of Rohit, Virat,Ajinkya,Shikar has made us forget the Sachin,Ganguly,VVS Lakshman and Dravid.

“NO ONE CAN BE AT TOP AND BE NUMBER ONE FOREVER”, but Sports is one of the best ways to make human turn into a hero and a hero ultimately has to walk away into the sunset, Perhaps it’s the future part which have to be taken as we move ahead.

Post-Tendulkar era is not about debating  ‘Who will fit in the shoes of Mr.Tendulkar?’ but enjoying the phase of creating  of new talent and new legends. India has to move on,afterall change is not constant like sachin.

India- Bangladesh series 2015

Hot Bangla tigers ready to take on Virat Kohli led India at Fatullah test

By Vikas Das

After the IPL saga, it’s business time for Team India that will face the Bangladeshi challenge in a series involving one test match and three one dayers at Fatullah and Sher-e-Bangla stadium, Dhaka, respectively. Playing in their backyard, Bangladesh would like to avenge defeat suffered at the hands of India during the quarter final encounter of the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. While on the other hand, Virat Kohli-led India is expected to go hard at the hosts. Both sides are full of explosive batsmen. If India has been blessed with Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan, then Bangladesh features the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan. All in readiness for a cracking series in store for the spectators as both sides seem determined to express themselves on the field.

High voltage clash awaits

The one-off test match at Fatullah, starting on June 10 is expected to be a high-voltage one with Bangladesh, after winning the ODI series against Pakistan at home and beating England to storm into the quarter final of the World Cup, is high on confidence and would give India a run for their money in the series.  Adding to that, playing against India is always exciting for every team as it draws lot of attention across the globe. Bangladesh would like to use this as an opportunity to establish themselves as a better outfit by beating India and silence their detractors.

While a new wave of aggression is likely to disseminate in Team India with Virat Kohli, known for in-your-face approach, leading the side. Moreover, the inclusion of Harbhajhan Singh, who is making a comeback to the test fold after two years, is expected to bolster the spin bowling option at the face of Ravindra Jadeja losing the bite. Coupled with the return of Ishant Sharma, India’s bowling attack looks balanced to take 20 wickets, a criterion for winning the test match. However, India will miss the services of Mohammad Shami, who is ruled out of the series due to injury. He along with Umesh Yadav had been a revelation for India in the 2015 World Cup.
